Snapshots — Saving Multiple Layout Versions
Saving a snapshot
- In the right panel, the Snapshots tab (next to Properties).
- The name field is auto-filled by default (project name + date/time), and can be edited.
- Fill in a description (optional).
- Choose a status (optional, mutually exclusive): Ready to Print or Draft.
- Click Save Snapshot.
Result: the "List (N)" grows by 1 item with a name, description, status badge, and save timestamp. After saving, the description/status reset, and the name field auto-fills a new default value.
Restoring
Click Restore on the item you want to go back to — this overwrites the entire current layout with the saved state.
Long list: shows the 10 most recent items by default; the Load More button loads the next page if there are more.
Example
After finishing Autoroute and getting a clean DRC for the "Room Temperature & Humidity Monitoring Station" — save a snapshot with the status set to "Ready to Print" before experimenting with rearranging modules for a new enclosure shape. If the new layout doesn't work out, click "Restore" on the saved snapshot to immediately go back to the verified layout, without having to redo all the routing.
