Route traces, check design rules (DRC), export a 1:1 PDF and Gerber files to manufacture a real board.

Arranging Modules: Drag, Rotate, Lock Position

  1. Drag to move: click and hold, then drag a component directly on the board to change its position. If that component already has wires routed through it, the wire ends automatically follow the pad as you drag.
  2. Rotate via right-click: right-click a module (without holding Shift) to open the context menu. Quickly choose one of the 4 corners: 0° / 90° / 180° / 270°.
  3. Rotate via the right panel: select a module, and the "Module Properties" panel on the right shows a Rotate: N° row with a rotate button (shortcut R) — each click rotates it by another 90°.
  4. Lock position: in the right-click context menu, choose Lock Position. A locked module shows a lock badge on the board and can no longer be dragged. Click again (the tooltip changes to "Unlock Position") to unlock it.

Result: the module sits exactly where you want it, and already-routed wires still stay attached to the correct pad when the module is moved/rotated.

Note

Use the Undo (Ctrl+Z) / Redo (Shift+Ctrl+Z) buttons on the canvas toolbar if you make a mistake.

Example

Place the DHT22 at the corner of the board so the sensor is exposed outside the enclosure, rotate it 90° so the pin direction matches a cutout in the enclosure, then lock its position before clicking Autoroute — this prevents auto-routing from accidentally shifting the module while optimizing the layout.
